Artist Bio
Known for his process-focused sculptures, the works of internationally recognized artist, Seph Trask, span many mediums and techniques including wood carving, metal fabrication, and metal casting. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture from the University of North Florida. Selections of his work have been displayed nationally and internationally, including exhibitions in Berlin and Brandenburg, Germany. His use of various mediums led to a body of work that ranges from his distinctive stacked laminate wood sculptures that create a sense of movement in space to elaborate and intricate cast iron busts and figures that enliven the spaces around them. Much of Trask's work explores how humans interact with one another, and he creates masks ranging from traditional kabuki style, neoclassical, grotesque, and even abstract as consistent thematic motif to explore this concept.
