Beneath

the

Mask

There is a duality present in life that dictates much of the world around us, and it is this concept that I try to explore through my works. Many of my sculptures contain masks, which I use to examine the methods and shields humans develop so that they can navigate society. In working in these ideas my mediums of choice are iron and wood, two materials that when blended together create sculptures that show the duality of coldness and warmth that is the human experience.
